Insight Of The Week
Pop-up Forms
How To Ensure They’re FIRING
The best way to judge your overall pop up form performance is to head to the “sign-up forms” tab, and look at your form submit rate.
Above 5% is good.
But Klaviyo will give you a word like “Excellent”, “Fair”, “Good” to describe your performance. This is based on your relative performance against industry benchmarks.
This is directly going to impact the amount of people who enter your email flows, particularly your welcome flow.
These things will impact your pop-up form, and what you should test:
Load speed (how big is it in MB? try get it to as small as possible using tinyjpg.com)
The offer (the more you ‘offer’ in exchange for an email, the better your opt in rate will be)
The ask (what are you asking them to put in? the less you ask for, the more people who will opt in)
There are other factors like aesthetics, fonts, colours, size etc. But these will be your needle movers.
Start with offering a base 10% off, and JUST ask for email.
Delay the pop-up by 6 seconds, or when the user shows intent to leave the page.
This is what works best for us across a ton of accounts. So I’d recommend starting there, and then creating your own A/B tests.

Actionable Tip Of The Day
There is a quick way to boost your email revenue that no one talks about.
Deliverability.
I.e. your ability to land in the inbox.
People think this is a black & white issue. You’re either landing in spam, or you’re not. This is not true!
This is a spectrum. A % of your emails will be going to spam for 99.99999% of people.
Just like designs, copywriting, offer, headlines, subject lines, this is something that can be IMPROVED.
If you improve your deliverability by 5-10%, you will see a correlated increase in sales.
So, where should you start?
Run a test on Glockapps.com
Then, work out the best areas of improvement for your deliverability, these could be:
improving engagement metrics (open rates, click rates)
list hygiene (cleaning your list periodically - aim for once a quarter minimum)
sending engaging content
including non promotional footer text
Work on your deliverability. Make it a priority. This is a great way to stand out.
