Why do brand neglect this 🤦

Please explain

Hey,

Today we’re going to be talking about the customer journey.

Probably THE most neglected thing in ecommerce.

You see…

Most brands completely and utterly neglect their customer journey.

They pay 0 time thinking about where a customer goes, and what they do, after they click an ad.

They spend their time thinking about
1. Do we have great products (of course, necessary)
2. How can we make great ads (yep - we need this too)
3. How often should we be posting on social media (valid)
4. What is our site converting at? (good question)
5. What should we write in our Email campaigns this week? (fair enough)

But what about piecing it all together?

Someone sees your ad for the first time...

They land on your site.

They have no idea who you are - what next?

Are they expected to just make their way to a product... add to cart... start checkout... and complete their order all on their own?

Good luck with that - attention spans are lower than ever.

If we leave that ENTIRE process to an individual, it's a small chance they're going to place an order on their own.

This speaks volumes to the importance of a seamless customer journey using pop-up forms and welcome flows.

Cold visitor -> Good Pop Up Form Offer -> Instant Welcome Email Delivering Offer -> Links to good collection pages with best sellers

If your ads are getting a lot of clicks but not converting as you’d like (and you know you have good products) - majority of the time this is because of a lack lustre customer journey.

We need to hold the hand of our traffic and guide them to where we want them to go.

A good customer journey can make or break your store, focus on making yours as seamless as possible.
