If you only have 1 hour, spend it on this

High leverage email task ----->>

Hey there,

The biggest bottleneck in ecommerce when it comes to ANYTHING (aside from cash flow) is time.

Owners don’t have enough time to learn new skills, new softwares, and make improvements in every single different area of their business.

And unfortunately there is only 24 hours in a day.

So you need to get efficient at spending time on the things that actually move the needle.

If I only had 1 hour per week to spend on my email marketing, this is what I’d spend it on.

  • ~ 20 mins - editing and testing pop up form

  • ~20 mins - editing and testing abandoned checkout & welcome flow

  • ~ 20 mins - making one simple campaign

Now, are you going to have the best pop up form, best flows, and best campaigns?

No

Are you going to have really high level email marketing with great results?

No

But if that’s ALL the time you can give and you don’t have the resources to outsource, this is all you should be spending your time on.

Nail your pop up forms.

Tweak the high leverage flows and improve them slowly.

Try get 1 campaign out. Make it plain text, and just spend 20 minutes on it.

With 1 hour of focus you can get all of this done and improve your email results.

I’d go as far to say that for most people, spending 1 hour on these things would be better than what they’re currently doing.

Your next question is probably - what should I be looking to improve in these 3 things with that time? Here is a quick list

  • Test all aspects of your pop up form. Headlines, Button text, Offers, Teasers, Micro Commitments, Time Delays

  • Test important part of flows. Time delays, subject lines, hero image, preview text, length of flows

  • Send simple campaigns. Just write something plain text, give some value, and tie it in to a product that you sell.

Hope this helps,
